Isla Canela is a natural island located south of the town of Ayamonte, in the province of Huelva, between the Andalusian Atlantic and the Portuguese Algarve, a beautiful 7 kilometre beach of fine and golden sand. This beach is placed within the vicinity of the Natural Park ‘’ Marismas de Isla Cristina & Ayamonte’’ a beautiful marsh land that is inhabited by several rare and very interesting birds. Its moderate waves and exceptional weather make it very suitable for windsurfing and kite-surfing. It can also be reached by a bike path that is also frequently used by rollerblades. The mouth of the Guadiana River is next to the island, and Portugal can be easily seen from Isla Canela, the island is a popular destination for holidaymakers mainly Spanish and Portuguese.
